Dr. Anoop Mathew

Anoop Mathew is currently doing a clinical fellowship in structural heart disease interventions at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton. He completed  an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the University of Alberta Hospital. His interests include percutaneous valve replacements, patent foramen ovale closure, developing novel therapies to limit myocardial infarction size in patients developing with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and analyzing the efficiency of STEMI care in developing countries. He is currently leading a randomized trial known as the PANACEA trial enrolling patients presenting with STEMI.
